Creativity is nothing but a mind set free.

Original ideas into digital work.

As a designer, I am a problem solver at heart and strive to deliver effective solutions at high standards. I have a passion for performance marketing and a knack for untangling even the toughest of knots. If I don’t know how, I will find out how!

I take pride in my work and am relentless in moving boundaries and carrying out this spirited attitude into successful, eye-catching digital solutions. I thrive on tackling thought-provoking design projects that challenge me creatively and make me go the extra mile. I believe in coming up with original ideas and turning them into digital work that is both innovative and measurable. This is what I consider a way of life.

My Side Gigs.

Dragonfly Studio

Dragonfly Studio is my traditional art business. It was founded in 2013, just after my mom passed away from ovarian cancer. Art has always been my retreat in hard times so naturally, it’s where I escaped to after this loss. The business name was a homage to my mom who saw the dragonfly as her totem. The brand colours are blue and green because once combined, they create the colour teal – the ribbon colour for ovarian cancer. Due to Covid, this small local art business had to be reinvented for the times. As many people can no longer afford original art pieces, I have now branched off to creating colouring books for adults, which can be purchased on Amazon or Etsy.

Bossy Knots

Bossy Knots was an accidental business. What started as a macramé hobby, turned into an overnight business with one creation shared online. The backstory is that we lost a sweet, but very “bossy” pony that was near and dear to our hearts, so to memorialize her in a very unique way, I created a macramé dream catcher using cotton rope, a horse shoe and hair from her tail. Being a member of many horse communities online, I shared a photo of it with an equestrian Facebook group. Within 2 hours, that post received over 3000 reactions, 800 comments, 200 shares and 50 requests for patterns or orders. The following week, an Etsy shop for my macramé creations was opened.

Off-Time

When I am not focused on my next design challenge, I spend a great amount of time with my animals including my 2 horses. From spring through fall, you may find us competing at local western gaming shows, fairs or riding in parades.

I also spend time in my art studio painting and creating. I have always enjoyed art and the process. When I was younger, I lived near San Francisco and became heavily influenced by the styles of the street artists. I gravitate towards portraits as I find faces so very interesting and love how just a tilt of an eye or a curl of a lip can change the emotion of a piece drastically.

Volunteering

The Ovarian Cancer Walk of Hope – Ottawa which I am an official supporter and give 20% of my yearly art sales to the fundraiser. In addition, I also donate an original art piece to be presented to the top fundraiser. I lost my mother to ovarian cancer in 2013 so this walk is very near and dear to my heart.

CEREC Pink Ribbon Ride which is an equestrian fundraiser every September for breast cancer. I spend months raising funds via social media and art auctions. The day of the event, we doll our horses up in all the pink we can find and kick off with a 25 km trail ride then a BBQ, prizes and raffle.
